Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming on iOS

The on-demand Xbox cloud gaming tool of Microsoft called Project xCloud is now open in limited beta for mobile users that are members of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. In this invite-only game utility, you will be able to play over 100 Xbox Game Pass titles through Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari.

The invited testers are encouraged to use either any compatible Bluetooth or USB-connected controller. For convenience, you can also simply utilize the custom touch controls. With this, you can help the developers to fine-tune its features and performance to ensure a better Xbox gaming experience in its official release.

Limited beta available for several countries

The limited beta version of Project xCloud is available for invitation in about 22 countries including United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Korea, and many more. This gives an opportunity for the developers to test the application and improve the areas that require enhancement. Thus, it is open to constructive criticism and feedback in order to boost the cloud gameplay experience in the future.

If you have followed this game companion app since the beginning, you probably know that it was not offered on iPhones or iPads during its initial launch. This is due to Apple’s restrictions on cloud gaming apps. At first, Apple required Microsoft to submit individual games for review but later on, they offered a compromise in order to allow this type of game to run on iOS.

This way Xbox Game Streaming is now available to be experienced on various iOS devices for the first time. It corresponds to the developers' promise to open its service on more devices and bring in a greater number of players. Although, as stated, you will need to purchase the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to exclusively experience the features and performance of this limited beta gaming tool.

Experience it first-hand

Project xCloud is the best option to play Xbox cloud gaming on your iPhone or iPad. As the application is still on its limited beta edition, only invited testers will be able to try its features and performance first-hand. In this way, you could also directly help them further improve the sectors wherein you encounter some difficulties or make suggestions that can be added that could greatly enhance this gaming utility.

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
